Target Information
DELE is a recently identified DAP3-binding protein important in the induction of death receptor-mediated apoptosis.
Cells expressing DELE are susceptible to apoptosis induced by TNF-Alpha and TRAIL, while DELE knockdown by siRNA rescues cells from apoptosis.
Reduction of DELE expression inhibits activation of caspase-3, caspase-8, and caspase-9 following stimulation by TNF-Alpha, anti-Fas, or TRAIL, indicating DELE’s role in death receptor-mediated apoptosis.
