ZNF692는 zinc finger 단백질로, 핵소체 조직 및 리보솜 생합성에 관여합니다. Nucleophosmin (NPM1)과 상호작용하여 NPM1의 자기 조립 특성을 조절하고 단백질 합성에 영향을 줍니다.
ZNF692의 발현 억제 시 NPM1의 핵소체 재분포 및 단백질 합성 감소가 발생합니다.
또한 ZNF692는 exosome complex 및 리보솜 생합성 인자들과 결합하여 40S 리보솜 소단위체 성숙에 기여합니다.
