Target Information
Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2)는 혈관, 신장, 심장 생리학에서 중심적인 역할을 하는 효소입니다. ACE와 달리 ACE2의 발현은 주로 심장, 신장, 고환에 제한되어 있습니다. 또한 ACE2는 SARS 코로나바이러스의 기능적 수용체로 알려져 있습니다. ACE2는 비활성 혈관수축제인 Angiotensin I (Ang I)을 Ang 1-9로, 활성형 Ang II를 Ang 1-7로 전환하는 역할을 합니다. ACE2 결핍 마우스에서 심장 수축력 저하가 관찰되어 심장 기능 조절에 중요한 역할을 함을 시사합니다.
