Target Information

Kallikreins are a subgroup of serine proteases with diverse physiological functions. Growing evidence suggests that many kallikreins are implicated in carcinogenesis and may serve as potential biomarkers for cancer and other diseases. The KLK12 gene is one of fifteen kallikrein subfamily members located in a cluster on chromosome 19. Alternative splicing results in three transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
