E1A-like inhibitor of differentiation-1 (EID-1)는 아세틸트랜스퍼레이스 효소로, 세포 주기 조절 단백질 Rb(retinoblastoma protein)과 p300 전사 공동활성화 단백질에 결합합니다.
EID-1은 p300의 히스톤 아세틸트랜스퍼레이스 활성을 억제하여 세포 분화를 차단하며, 히스톤 및 NCOA3와 같은 비히스톤 단백질을 아세틸화합니다.
또한 인산화된 CREB 단백질과 결합하여 cAMP 신호 관련 유전자 전사를 활성화하는 공동활성화 인자로 작용합니다.
