Product Specific Information
- In Western blots, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Cathepsin L is observed.
- No cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Cathepsin L is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

Cathepsin L은 리소좀성 시스테인 프로테이나제로, 세포 내 단백질 분해에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 주요 기질에는 콜라겐, 엘라스틴, 그리고 neutrophil elastase 활성을 조절하는 alpha-1 protease inhibitor가 포함됩니다. 이 단백질은 근병증, 심근 허혈, 단백뇨에 대한 신세뇨관 반응 등 다양한 병리적 과정에 관여합니다.
Peptidase C1 family에 속하며, 단일 전구체로부터 생성된 이황화 결합된 중쇄 및 경쇄로 구성된 이합체 형태를 가집니다. 동일 단백질을 암호화하는 최소 두 가지 전사 변이가 보고되었습니다.
