Target Information

FGFR2 (Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor 2) is a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in key cellular processes such as angiogenesis, mitogenesis, osteogenesis, myogenesis, carcinogenesis, differentiation, and tissue repair.
Mutations in FGFR2 are linked to several syndromes, including:

• Crouzon syndrome
• Pfeiffer syndrome
• Craniosynostosis
• Apert syndrome
• Jackson-Weiss syndrome
• Beare-Stevenson cutis gyrata syndrome
• Saethre-Chotzen syndrome
• Syndromic craniosynostosis

Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
