Target Information
CD200 is a type-1 membrane glycoprotein containing two immunoglobulin domains and belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It interacts with CD200R on myeloid cells to prevent macrophage activation locally. Homologues are found in herpesviruses and poxviruses. Studies in mouse and rat suggest CD200 regulates myeloid cell activity and provides inhibitory signals to macrophages. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encode different isoforms. CD200 dysfunction is associated with Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy.
