Target Information
CD43 (leukosialin, sialophorin)은 음전하를 띤 막관통성 mucin-like 단백질로, 대부분의 조혈세포 표면에 발현됩니다. CD43은 세포 부착을 방해하는 반발 장벽을 형성하지만, 특정 조건에서는 백혈구 응집을 촉진하기도 합니다. Actin-binding 단백질인 ezrin 및 moesin과의 상호작용을 통해 T세포 형태 변화 조절과 림프구 이동 중 세포 간 상호작용을 조절합니다. CD43 신호는 LFA-1의 부착성을 증가시키거나 다른 수용체를 통한 LFA-1 유도에 대항할 수 있습니다. 또한 CD43 발현은 종양 억제 단백질 p53의 활성화를 유도하지만, p53 및 ARF 결핍 시에는 종양 증식과 생존을 촉진할 수 있습니다. CD43은 백혈구 기능의 중요한 조절 인자로 알려져 있으며, CD43 기능 이상은 Wiscott-Aldrich 증후군 및 Adenoid Basal Cell Carcinoma와 관련이 있습니다.
