Target Information
Arginine methylation is an irreversible post-translational modification implicated in RNA processing, trafficking, receptor-mediated signaling, and transcription. PRMT enzymes regulate key cellular processes through methylation of nuclear proteins, IL enhancer binding factors, cell cycle regulators, signal transduction molecules, apoptosis-related proteins, and viral proteins. The mammalian PRMT family consists of seven members sharing two major homologous domains, with antibodies developed against each member.
