Type I interferon(IFN-α, IFN-β)는 바이러스나 이중가닥 RNA에 의해 유도되는 구조적·기능적으로 관련된 단백질군으로, 세포에 항바이러스 상태를 유도합니다. IFN-α와 IFN-β는 공통 수용체(IFN-α/βR)에 결합하며, IFN-γ는 별도의 수용체(IFN-γR)에 결합합니다. IFN-α/βR은 두 가지 스플라이싱 전사체(IFN-α/βR1, IFN-α/βR2)로 존재하며, 각각 신호전달과 리간드 결합에 관여합니다.
