Target Information
Adenosine participates in diverse biological processes, including urea synthesis, anti-inflammatory response, and inhibition of protein synthesis. Adenosine receptors (A1-R, A2A-R, A2B-R, A3-R) are G protein-coupled membrane proteins.
- A1-R mediates ureagenesis in a calcium-dependent manner.
- A2A-R is involved in coronary vasodilation.
- A2B receptors inhibit collagen and protein synthesis.
- A3-R activation inhibits TNF-alpha induction and blocks endotoxin CD14 receptor signaling.
