Cyclin D1 (PRAD-1, bcl-1)은 세포주기 조절의 핵심 단백질로, CDK4 및 CDK6과 결합하여 Rb 단백질을 인산화시킵니다. 이 단백질은 다양한 인간 종양에서 과발현되는 원형암유전자(proto-oncogene)로 알려져 있으며, 세포 증식, 지방세포 분화, 단백질 인산화 조절에 관여합니다.
Cyclin D1은 인간 11번 염색체에 위치한 CCND1 유전자에 의해 암호화되며, G1기 동안 합성되어 CDK4/6과 복합체를 형성하여 G1/S 전환을 조절합니다.
