Target Information
YY1 is a ubiquitously distributed transcription factor belonging to the GLI-Kruppel class of zinc finger proteins.
It is involved in both repression and activation of various promoters.
YY1 may recruit histone deacetylases or acetyltransferases to promoters to regulate transcription, linking histone modification to gene expression control.
