Zampilimab은 TGM2를 타깃으로 하는 바이오시밀러 항체입니다.
Transglutaminase (TGase)는 단백질 간 교차결합을 촉매하며, Ca²⁺ 결합이 필요합니다.
포유류에서는 8개의 TGase 동종효소가 확인되었으며, 그중 tissue transglutaminase (tTGase, TGase 2)는 N-terminal β-sandwich, catalytic core, 두 개의 C-terminal β-barrel 도메인으로 구성됩니다.
tTGase는 세포사, 증식, 분화 및 수용체 매개 엔도사이토시스에 관여할 수 있습니다.
알츠하이머병 환자의 뇌에서는 tTGase 활성 증가로 인해 Ab peptide, β-amyloid precursor protein, tau 단백질의 중합과 신경섬유 엉킴(neurofibrillary tangles) 형성이 관찰됩니다.
