Target Information
Survivin (IAP4)는 Inhibitors of Apoptosis Protein (IAP) 유전자 패밀리 중 가장 작은 구성원으로, 세포 신호전달, 분열, 대사 등 다양한 세포 기능에 관여합니다. 대부분의 정상 조직에서는 발현되지 않지만, 거의 모든 인간 암 조직에서 차등적으로 발현됩니다. Survivin은 단일 baculovirus IAP repeat (BIR) 도메인을 가지며, C-말단 RING finger 도메인은 없습니다.
이 단백질은 세포주기 G2/M 단계에서 고발현되며, 유사분열 시 미세소관과 결합하여 세포사 억제 기능을 수행합니다. Survivin-미세소관 상호작용이 손상되면 caspase-3 활성 증가와 함께 세포사멸이 유도됩니다. 또한 뇌 손상 후 astrocyte 및 일부 neuron에서 발현되어 신경세포 증식 반응 조절에 관여할 수 있습니다.
현재까지 네 가지 전사 변이체가 보고되었으며, 그 중 세 가지의 full-length 형태가 규명되었습니다. Survivin의 과발현은 암세포의 비정상적인 세포분열을 촉진할 수 있습니다.
