Target Information
Caspase 10은 cysteine-aspartic acid protease (caspase) 계열에 속하는 단백질로, 세포자멸사(apoptosis)의 실행 단계에서 중심적인 역할을 합니다. Caspase는 비활성 전구체 형태로 존재하며, 절단 과정을 거쳐 활성 효소로 전환됩니다. Caspase 10은 caspase 3 및 7을 절단 및 활성화하며, 자체적으로 caspase 8에 의해 절단됩니다. 이 유전자의 변이는 제2형 자가면역 림프증식증후군과 관련된 세포자멸사 결함과 연관이 있습니다. 세 가지의 서로 다른 전사 변이체가 보고되어 있습니다.
