Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous ZAP-70 protein at a molecular weight of approximately 70 kDa.
Purity is greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
ZAP-70 is a cytosolic protein tyrosine kinase belonging to the Syk family. It is expressed exclusively in T-cells and natural killer cells and is essential for T-cell receptor (TCR) activation. Upon TCR engagement, ZAP-70 is phosphorylated at tyrosines 292, 315, and 319 in the interdomain B region between SH2 and kinase domains.
Phosphorylation at tyrosines 315 (Vav binding site) and 319 (Lck binding site) enhances ZAP-70 function in lymphocyte signaling, whereas phosphorylation at tyrosine 292 attenuates signaling by terminating transient activation.
