Target Information
GBP1 (Guanlyate Binding Protein 1) is a 68 kDa GTPase belonging to the GTPase1 family. Its expression is induced by interferon-γ and inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1α, IL-1β, and TNF-α. GBP1 induction by poly I:C and dependency on NF-κB and IFNα response elements suggest involvement in TLR signaling pathways. GBP1 inversely correlates with MMP-1 expression and other molecules related to adhesion and migration, indicating its functional role in suppressing angiogenesis and cell migration, particularly in endothelial cells. As a regulatory molecule, GBP1 plays a central role in inflammatory signal transduction and cell migration networks.
