Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the J protein family, which regulates the ATPase activity of 70 kDa heat shock proteins. DNAJB9 belongs to the type 2 subgroup of DnaJ proteins and is localized to the endoplasmic reticulum. It is induced by endoplasmic reticulum stress and helps protect stressed cells from apoptosis.
