Target Information
ANKK1 serine/threonine kinase is a member of the RIPK family and is closely linked to the DRD2 gene. ANKK1 is located on chromosome 11 near DRD2, and the TaqIA polymorphism, initially attributed to DRD2, was later found in exon 8 of ANKK1, causing a nonconservative amino acid substitution. The role of ANKK1 in neuropsychiatric disorders previously associated with Taq1A RFLP remains unclear.
