Target Information
AIDA acts as a ventralizing factor during embryogenesis. It inhibits axin-mediated JNK activation by binding axin and disrupting axin homodimerization. This antagonizes a Wnt/β-catenin-independent dorsalization pathway activated by AXIN/JNK signaling.
