Target Information
GNG7 is a guanine nucleotide-binding protein (G protein) involved in transmembrane signaling. The beta and gamma chains are essential for GTPase activity, GDP/GTP exchange, and G protein-effector interactions. It regulates adenylyl cyclase signaling in specific brain regions and contributes to the formation or stabilization of the G(olf) heterotrimer required for adenylyl cyclase activity in the striatum.
