Target Information

FBXO11 is a member of the F-box protein family, characterized by an approximately 40 amino acid F-box motif. These proteins form one of the four subunits of the ubiquitin protein ligase complex SCFs (SKP1-cullin-F-box), which function in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination.
F-box proteins are divided into three classes:

1. Fbws – containing WD-40 domains
2. Fbls – containing leucine-rich repeats
3. Fbxs – containing other protein-protein interaction modules or no recognizable motifs

The FBXO11 gene encodes a member of the Fbxs class. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
