Target Information
TRIM71 is the mammalian ortholog of the C. elegans heterochronic protein Lin41, involved in postembryonic development. It acts downstream of Shh and Fgf signaling pathways and is a target of microRNA let-7. TRIM71 functions as an E3 ubiquitin ligase and interacts with Dicer and Argonaute proteins (Ago1–4). Overexpression and depletion studies suggest TRIM71 regulates Ago2 turnover and cooperates with Lin-28 in pluripotency regulation.
