ACR (Acrosin)은 성숙한 정자의 acrosome에 존재하는 주요 단백질분해효소로, trypsin-like 특이성을 가진 typical serine proteinase입니다. Proacrosin 형태로 저장되며, 활성 효소는 zona pellucida 용해에 관여하여 정자가 난자의 내층을 통과하도록 돕습니다. Proacrosin mRNA는 감수분열 이후 단계의 정자세포에서만 합성되며, 인간에서는 haploid spermatid 단계에서 처음 발현됩니다.
