HSPB1 (heat shock protein beta-1, HSP27)는 세포가 스트레스 환경에 노출될 때 발현이 증가하는 소형 heat shock 단백질입니다.
이 단백질은 분자 샤페론으로서 변성된 단백질이 다시 접힐 수 있도록 돕고, 스트레스 저항성과 액틴 구조 유지에 관여합니다.
또한 HSP27은 신경섬유 단백질의 인산화 및 축삭 수송을 조절하며, 유전자 변이는 Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease 2F 및 Neuronopathy distal hereditary motor 2B와 관련이 있습니다.
