Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
Centrosomes are major microtubule-organizing centers composed of a centriole pair and surrounding pericentriolar material (PCM). Proper centrosome duplication and maturation are essential for bipolar mitotic spindle assembly. Defects in these processes can lead to aneuploidy and cancer progression.
The CEP41 (centrosomal protein of 41 kDa) gene encodes a 373-amino-acid protein, alternatively spliced into four isoforms. Isoforms 1 and 4 are expressed in testis, fetal brain, and liver.
