Dihydropyrimidinase는 피리미딘 대사 과정에서 5,6-dihydrouracil을 3-ureidopropionate로 전환하는 효소입니다. 간과 신장에서 높은 수준으로 발현되며, 주요 2.5 kb 전사체와 부전사체인 3.8 kb 전사체가 존재합니다. DPYS 유전자의 결함은 dihydropyrimidinuria와 관련이 있습니다.
