Target Information
Isocitrate dehydrogenases (IDH) catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to 2-oxoglutarate. These enzymes are divided into NAD(+)-dependent and NADP(+)-dependent subclasses. IDH1 is a NADP(+)-dependent enzyme localized in the cytoplasm and peroxisomes, containing a PTS-1 peroxisomal targeting signal. It plays a crucial role in cytoplasmic NADPH production and peroxisomal metabolism.
This antibody specifically recognizes the IDH1 mutant R132H protein.
