Target Information
MFAP4 (Microfibril-Associated Protein 4) is a protein with similarity to a bovine microfibril-associated protein. It binds both collagen and carbohydrate and is believed to function as an extracellular matrix protein involved in cell adhesion or intercellular interactions. The MFAP4 gene is located within the Smith-Magenis syndrome region.
