Target Information
IFI16 (gamma-interferon-inducible protein 16)은 이중가닥 DNA(dsDNA)에 결합하며, supercoiled 및 cruciform DNA 구조에 높은 친화성을 보입니다. 전사 조절 및 억제에 관여하며, 세포 주기 조절 인자(p53/TP53, retinoblastoma protein 등)의 기능을 조절하여 세포 증식을 제어합니다. 또한 선천 면역 반응에서 바이러스 dsDNA를 인식하고, TMEM173/STING을 통해 IFN-β 유도에 관여합니다. IFI16은 HSV-1 감염 시 IFR3 신호전달을 활성화하며, 바이러스 DNA의 이질염색질 형성을 촉진하여 바이러스 초기 유전자 발현과 복제를 억제합니다. 또한 MTA1 매개 ESR1 발현의 후성유전적 조절에도 관련되어 있습니다.
