Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Integrin alpha 2, alpha 11, and recombinant mouse Integrin alpha 2, alpha 11 was observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
Integrin alpha 1 (ITGA1) associates with beta 1 (ITGB1) to form a heterodimer functioning as a dual laminin/collagen receptor in neural and hematopoietic cells.
ITGA1 contains a 206-amino acid I domain, three divalent cation-binding sites, a transmembrane domain, and a short cytoplasmic tail. It has 28 potential N-glycosylation sites.
Human ITGA1 is expressed as a 180-kDa protein and is involved in early remodeling of osteoarthritic cartilage and regulation of mesenchymal stem cell proliferation and cartilage production.
