- In direct ELISA, approximately 50% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse IL-5 and 5% with recombinant human IL-5 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

Target Information
IL-5 is a cytokine that functions as a growth and differentiation factor for B cells and eosinophils. It regulates eosinopoiesis, eosinophil maturation, and activation. Elevated IL-5 levels are associated with asthma and hypereosinophilic syndromes. The IL-5 receptor is a heterodimer sharing its beta subunit with receptors for IL-3 and GM-CSF. IL-5, IL-4, IL-13, and CSF2 form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 5q31, coordinately regulated by long-range elements.
