Target Information
C5AR2 (also known as GPCR C5L2) is an orphan receptor belonging to the anaphylatoxin receptor family. It is a seven-transmembrane G-protein-coupled receptor with an N-terminal N-glycosylation site, several conserved cysteines, and potential C-terminal phosphorylation sites.
C5AR2 binds to C5a and C5a-des-Arg, functioning as a regulated scavenger receptor with a negative modulatory effect on C5aR-mediated inflammation.
Expression has been observed in neutrophils, macrophages, mast cells, dendritic cells, brain, lung, heart, kidney, liver, ovary, and testis.
