Target Information
Rho GTPase activating protein 5 (ARHGAP5) negatively regulates RHO GTPases, which may mediate cytoskeleton changes by stimulating the hydrolysis of bound GTP. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene. It acts as a GTPase-activating protein for Rho family members and may reduce the p21ras GTPase-activating potential of RASA1/p120GAP.
