Target Information
Procollagen type I N-terminal propeptide (P1NP)는 뼈 형성의 특정 지표로, 골기질의 주요 구성 요소인 type I collagen의 합성을 반영합니다. P1NP는 procollagen이 collagen으로 전환될 때 osteoblast에 의해 생성됩니다. 주로 대사성 골질환, 특히 골다공증의 진단 및 모니터링에 활용됩니다.
골다공증 환자에서 P1NP 수치는 teriparatide 및 romosozumab과 같은 치료제에 대한 골밀도(BMD) 반응을 예측할 수 있습니다. 낮은 혈청 P1NP 수치는 BMD 손실 위험이 높음을 나타내며, 전신성 홍반성 루푸스(SLE) 등 골 건강에 영향을 미치는 질환을 가진 여성에게 유용한 바이오마커로 사용됩니다.
