Target Information

Factor I, a serine protease, is a regulatory component of both the alternative and classical complement pathways.
It is synthesized as a single-chain precursor of 88 kDa and processed to yield the active form composed of two disulfide-linked chains:

  • α-chain (50 kDa)
  • β-chain (38 kDa)
    Plasma concentration is approximately 35 µg/mL.
