Target Information
The SMARCD1 protein is a member of the SWI/SNF family of proteins, which exhibit helicase and ATPase activities and regulate transcription by altering chromatin structure. It is part of the ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SNF/SWI and shows similarity to yeast Swp73 protein. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
