Target Information

Breast tumor kinase (Brk) is a non-receptor protein tyrosine kinase expressed in over 60% of breast carcinoma tissue samples and cell lines.
Brk shares 80% identity with Sik (Src-related intestinal kinase) and features SH3 and SH2 domains typical of non-receptor tyrosine kinases.
Low levels of Brk transcripts are found in some breast tumor cell lines but not in normal breast tissue.
