Background
The c-Myb protein is a transcriptional activator composed of three domains: an N-terminal DNA-binding domain, a central transcriptional activation domain, and a C-terminal repression domain. It specifically recognizes the DNA sequence 5'-YAAC[GT]G-3', playing a critical role in regulating proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic progenitor cells.
