Invitrogen™ Qtracker™ 585 Cell Labeling Kit
The Qtracker™ 585 Cell Labeling Kit uses a custom targeting peptide to deliver yellow-fluorescent Qdot™ 585 nanocrystals into the cytoplasm of live cells. These kits are designed for loading cultured cells with highly fluorescent Qdot™ nanocrystals. Once inside, Qtracker™ labels provide intense, stable fluorescence that can be traced through several generations and are not transferred to adjacent cells.

Product Description
Qtracker™ kits use a custom targeting peptide to deliver Qdot™ nanocrystals into the cytoplasm of live cells. Delivery is typically completed within 1 hour and is not cell-type specific. The Qdot™ nanocrystals are compatible with serum-sensitive cells and maintain intense fluorescence under various biological conditions (pH, temperature, metabolic changes). Autofluorescence can be minimized using Qtracker™ 655, 705, or 800 Kits.
Long-Lasting, Targeted Signal
Qtracker™ labels resist photobleaching and degradation. They remain in cytoplasmic vesicles and are inherited by daughter cells for at least six generations. Fluorescence can persist up to a week post-labeling, making these kits ideal for studies of cell motility, migration, differentiation, and morphology. The labels do not leak or transfer between adjacent cells.
Monitoring Platforms
Labeled cells can be monitored using:
- Flow cytometry
- Fluorescence or confocal microscopy
- Fluorescence microplate readers
- High-content imaging systems
Minimal Impact on Live Cells
Cytotoxicity tests across multiple cell lines (CHO, HeLa, U-118, 3T3, HUVEC, Jurkat) show minimal impact on surface marker expression, proliferation, enzyme activity, and motility.
