ECE2 (Endothelin Converting Enzyme 2)는 big endothelin-1을 endothelin-1로 전환시키며, neurotensin, angiotensin I, substance P, proenkephalin 및 prodynorphin 유래 펩타이드 등 다양한 신경내분비 펩타이드의 처리에 관여합니다. 또한 뇌 내 β-amyloid 펩타이드 축적을 제한할 수 있으며, methyltransferase 활성을 가질 가능성이 있습니다.
