이 유전자군은 높은 서열 유사성을 가지며, X-연관 멤버는 30-bp 반복 단위가 여러 번 존재하지만 Y-연관 멤버는 한 번만 존재합니다.
VCX 유전자 클러스터는 복제 수가 개인마다 다를 수 있으며, VCX/Y 단백질은 작은 크기와 높은 전하를 가진 핵 단백질로 추정됩니다.
