This antibody detects endogenous levels of total Serglycin protein.
Target Information
The Serglycin (SRGN) gene encodes a hematopoietic cell granule proteoglycan. Proteoglycans stored in secretory granules of hematopoietic cells contain a protease-resistant peptide core, which may help neutralize hydrolytic enzymes. The encoded protein is associated with the macromolecular complex of granzymes and perforin, potentially mediating granule-dependent apoptosis. Two transcript variants have been identified, with only one encoding a protein.
