KIT (c-KIT)는 MGF(mast cell growth factor, stem cell factor)의 type 3 transmembrane receptor로, 원암유전자인 proto-oncogene입니다. KIT는 다양한 조혈 및 비조혈 세포의 성장과 활성화를 조절하며, 돌연변이는 위장관 기질종양(GIST), 비만세포질환, 급성골수성백혈병(AML), piebaldism 등과 관련이 있습니다.
KIT 수용체는 SCF 결합 시 이합체화되어 자가인산화 및 Grb2 결합을 통한 Ras/ERK 신호경로를 활성화하며, PI3K, PLC-γ, JAK/STAT 등 다양한 하위 신호전달 경로를 조절합니다. 이러한 활성화는 조혈, 줄기세포 유지, 생식세포 형성에 필수적입니다.
