Product Specific Information

Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Specificity: NMDAR2C.

Target Information

The NMDA Receptor (NMDAR) plays a crucial role in memory and neuronal development, and is implicated in several central nervous system disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, and ischemic neuronal cell death. It is also a principal molecular target for alcohol in the CNS and is potentiated by protein phosphorylation. The NR1 protein can form NMDA-activated channels when expressed in Xenopus oocytes, though with smaller currents than in situ. Physiological channel characteristics are achieved when the NR1 subunit combines with one or more of the NMDAR2 (NR2 A–D) subunits.
