Target Information
The FLRT1 gene encodes a member of the fibronectin leucine-rich transmembrane protein (FLRT) family. These proteins may function in cell adhesion and/or receptor signaling, and their structures resemble small leucine-rich proteoglycans found in the extracellular matrix.
FLRT1 shares sequence similarity with FLRT2 and FLRT3 and is expressed in the kidney and brain.
