Target Information
Metallothionein 단백질은 낮은 분자량의 시스테인 풍부 단백질로, 중금속 이온에 의해 유도되고 결합하며 효소 활성이 없습니다. 세포 성장 및 분화의 조절에 중심적인 역할을 할 수 있으며, 정자 형성과정에도 관여합니다. 이 유전자는 생쥐의 고환과 난소에서 차등적으로 발현되는 것으로 알려진 metallothionein 유사 단백질을 암호화합니다. 두 가지 전사 변이체가 보고되어 있으며, 각각 다른 아이소폼을 생성합니다.
