For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to reach a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using the carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

RPC8 is a DNA-dependent RNA polymerase that catalyzes the transcription of DNA into RNA using the four ribonucleoside triphosphates as substrates. It is a specific peripheral component of RNA polymerase III, which synthesizes small RNAs such as 5S rRNA and tRNAs.
RPC8 plays a key role in sensing and limiting infection by intracellular bacteria and DNA viruses, acting as a nuclear and cytosolic DNA sensor involved in the innate immune response. It can sense non-self dsDNA that serves as a template for transcription into dsRNA. The non-self RNA polymerase III transcripts, such as Epstein-Barr virus-encoded RNAs (EBERs), induce type I interferon and NF-κB through the RIG-I pathway.
